Behaviorist and Constructivist Sites

Behaviorist Sites:

Fun Facts About Recycling- This site talks about recycling and some facts about it. It is something that a teacher would want to walk through with students to discuss the different components.

NASA Kids- This site provides great information about space exploration and our solar system. There are animated videos you can watch about space shuttles launches, astronauts, and other topics. There are also games you can play and lists of activities that you can do that are all related to learning about space. The games are not problem based, but more of about learning basic information.

Constructivist Sites:

National Geographic Kids- This site provides an interactive activity about the Lewis and Clark expedition. Students go with Lewis and Clark on their journey, making important decisions as they go, such as navigating rivers and deciding what to bring with you on the journey. It asks questions and these decisions, and students click on the answer they choose. On thing I really like about this is that after students make their decisions, the site provides feedback about their choice. This teaches students to explore on their own, and provides them with information so they learn from their decisions.

Amazon Interactive: Ecotourism Simulation Game- Students explore the geography of the Ecuadorian Amazon through online games and activities. They learn about the rainforest and the Quichua people who call it home. Students also discover the ways in which the Quichua live off the land. They get the opportunity to try their hand at running a community-based ecotourism project along the Río Napo.

43 Things...

I posted five goals to this networking website. I found that there were not any other people who shared my goals. I found the goals listed on this site to be less career related as mine were.
